What can I use to remove cat urine from my office chairs?

They look like leather, but I don’t think they are. Please help, if I can’t remove the smell my parents will give the cats away.

Thanks

You could try washing with vinegar.
Sponge it on; Leave it for about 5 minutes; Wipe clean with water.
Test an inconspicuous place first just to be certain it doesn’t damage anything otherwise they might get rid of you too.

Keep the cats away from the office furniture!

A house hold remedy is vinegar but it stinks and doesn’t always do the job right.

What I have found to be the most effective, from years of my lovable but hatable kitties pissin on stuff, is a product called "Get Serious." It can found at PetSmart or perhaps another pet store in your area. If nothing else they have a website, http://www.getseriousproducts.com

It works on all kinds of odors and on most materials without damage. The bottle says for carpet and upholstery. I used it on my bed and my couch and it did not color damage either of them. And it got rid of them smell.

    I would highly recommend it.

I’ve had good luck with a product called Nature’s Miracle for cats. It’s an enzymatic cleaner that’s designed specifically for cat urine odors. You can purchase it at Petco and Petsmart. Just follow the directions closely and it will work. I recommend using this before any other cleaner, as it may not work as well behind other products/home remedies.

Go to someplace like Petsmart and buy a product called Petzyme or Nature’s Miracle. They both have enzymes in them that break down the proteins that are causing the smell. You’ll have to get affected areas pretty saturated. Pay special attention to the seams of the chairs where the urine probably soaked in and got into the padding. Get it thoroughly damp, then let dry completely. Treat again if necessary.

Nature’s Miracle is the best stuff on earth for getting rid of cat pee smell but the key to using it is to use it FIRST before you use any other cleaner or it just does not seem to work as well if other things have been tried first. I LOVE the stuff and when one of our cats pees someplace it is not supposed to we spray or pour the nature’s miracle on the spot and let it dry on it’s own and it is good to go. Get the cats fixed…it sounds like they may be marking their territory and will continue to do so.
